Here is a cool idea for making better use of a closet under the stairs. We closed up the old closet door and opened the wall to the living room. It’s the perfect play area for the youngest member of this family, and with the addition of a sliding barn door, all his toys and clutter are easily hidden. We also built in a custom bench for storage and a cozy place to read. I stitched together some IKEA lambs skin rugs for the bench top.
